I was having a discussion with someone today about the idea that if the church could see us as we really are at home, at work, behind closed doors, etc., it might not be too pretty.
For example, I said something recently and KNEW immediately I shouldn’t have said it even if only one person (actually two) heard it.
Some of us (Christians) are called hypocrites for a reason. I’m guilty.
A minister once said, “a true spiritual person is who he is behind closed doors.”
There was a song … “and no one knows what goes on behind closed doors … “
It should have been written, “… and someone knows what goes on behind closed doors!”
We don’t need to worry about the CIA, FBI, or whoever else is spying … the Holy Spirit has them beat by a long shot, and He excels in knowing about every bone that’s hidden in our closets. What does He see, and what stories would He have to tell? Yikes!! He wants our closets cleaned out!
Thank God for His forgiveness, grace and mercy! There’s a reason we need all of Him and what He has to offer!
