Mark 9:24–Thus the man with the epileptic boy cried out, “I believe; help my unbelief.”
Some of us have experienced hardships we would rather not have to deal with. Some of us get to repeat them. What does the believer do? Keep on going or quit?
Sometimes the mountains aren’t moved, the waters aren’t parted, or we don’t get the answers we ask God for, and during those painfully frustrating times, we may get angry, walk away, or we can hunker down in Him and continue to trust. Yes, there are times we may ask Him to help our unbelief… I certainly have.
I wish I could say the Christian walk is a bed of roses, but it isn’t. In fact, we may feel like we’re constantly pricked by the thorns. Keep going. Keep trusting.
The believer knows this life is a short one whether we live a few years or many, and we have faith there is an eternity to come. That is why we keep going, why we keep trusting.
If we need some help with some unbelief, ask Him for a little help, He won’t be shocked if you ask Him! Keep going, keep trusting.
