Pssstttt! Don’t tell anyone … It really is ok to hug, pray for, talk to, or love someone who doesn’t live up to ‘your’ ideals, political ideology, religious sentiment, or whatever it happens to be you don’t like about another person. When you don’t know what else to do, love never fails.
On second thought, instead of not telling anyone, maybe we should remind everyone there’s a four-letter word–LOVE. Here is what the true picture of love looks like:
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (Darby)
Love has long patience, is kind; love is not emulous [of others]; love is not insolent and rash, is not puffed up, 5 does not behave in an unseemly manner, does not seek what is its own, is not quickly provoked, does not impute evil, 6 does not rejoice at iniquity but rejoices with the truth, 7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails …
